Indoor Kabaddi At The 2013 Asian Indoor And Martial Arts Games
Indoor Kabaddi for the 2013 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was held at the Ansan Sangnoksu Gymnasium. It took place from 29 June to 3 July 2013. Women's indoor kabaddi teams made their debut in these Games, as only the men's teams were allowed to compete for medals at both Macau 2007 and Hanoi 2009 previously. Indoor kabaddi was contested by seven teams at the 2009 Asian Indoor Games in Hanoi, Vietnam from 2 November to 6 November. The competition took place at the Cầu Giấy Gymnasium. Lee Jang-kun (Hangul: 이장군) is a former South Korean professional Kabaddi player and television personality. He is the first overseas player in the Pro Kabaddi League to score 400 raid points. He became the most valuable international player in the fifth season after he was retained by Bengal Warriors and has played for the same franchise until the sixth season. India women's national kabaddi team represents India in international women's Kabaddi events. Kabaddi is an Indian subcontinent-based contact sport. It is one among India's most popular sports, mostly of village dwellers. In kabaddi, India has competed in four Asian Games and won gold in each of them. In 1950, the All India Kabaddi Federation was formed, and uniform regulations were developed. In 1973, the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) was established. The Indian National Kabaddi Team represents India in international men's kabaddi competitions. The team is by far the most successful national kabaddi side of any country, winning gold medals at the Asian Games in 1990 (the first year the sport was contested), 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014, as well as winning all three Kabaddi World Cup events to date. She is the former captain of the Indian women's Kabaddi team and has been awarded the Rajyotsava Prashasti, the second-highest award of the Government of Karnataka. Abhilasha Mhatre is an Indian professional kabaddi player and was the Captain of Indian National Women's Kabaddi Team. She has won the Arjuna Award of Government of India in 2015.
